Based on on our experience, a half day shoot is around $700 and a full day shoot might be $2,000. Filming only…. The videographer would have to add on editing.
But wait, what are they doing during the shoot exactly?
Because if you give vague details like 1 day shoot,1 interview and 3 different locations of getting b-roll. Well, this might be a 12 hour day from sunrise to sunset and this could cost $12,000 AUD approximately.
Woah over $10,000 for one day shoot?
Well, this could be like filming at the beach, film at the zoo, film at the Harbour Bridge and filming near the Opera House.
To add, is someone speaking to the camera, will it be windy or too sunny? What about background noise like dog barking or loud vehicles.
Though these locations are within Sydney Metro, you have to consider the necessary equipment that ONE videographer would have to bring.
Video services are supposed to include audio, lights, tripods, batteries, memory cards, THE LOT!
Oh wait… It is a rush order and you need the video edited immediately?
Do you think 1 videographer is capable of a complex shoot? The answer is no, the videographer needs a small crew.
So that is why a small production crew for one day is over $10,000 because your project requires so much.
